Our Services for Polished Concrete Floors

Polished Concrete FloorsConcrete Polishing

Concrete polishing is the process of utilizing diamond grinding equipment, liquid chemical densifiers, and expert grinding techniques. This process is applied to the original concrete surface, where a series of metal and resin bond diamond grinding steps remove all scratches while achieving a permanent, glossy shine. Polished concrete floors can be measured in different shine levels (Low, Medium, Semi, High) and are intended to match the level of shine that best suits the desired use. Once completed, the result is a beautiful, durable, mirror-like, gloss-coated shine. The process can be applied to new or old concrete for any commercial, retail, or industrial facility.

Concrete dyeing/staining is an additional color application to concrete. These dyes/stains are used for creating decorative colors and vibrant tones. The process includes using a water or solvent-based system to develop a unique and natural-colored appearance. This popular application is widely used within various commercial and industrial projects due to its creative appeal, low cost, and ease of application. Maintenance Solutions provides the option to add dye or stain to polished concrete floors.

Scoring ConcreteScoring Polished Concrete Floors

Scoring is a great way to give both new and existing concrete floors a new look. It is a simple process of cutting shallow grooves into the concrete. These score cuts can create the illusion of tile or stone grout joints, and we can even “draw” a custom pattern or logo into the concrete. Scoring is often combined with dyed or stained concrete to accentuate the surface pattern. Concrete can be scored with many different tools, but the most common tools are concrete saws and grinders using diamond blades.

An advantage to scored concrete is that scoring can be a way to add decorative touches to floors without tearing out the slab and starting over or covering the slab with other products. It is a very economical and eco-friendly approach to decorative concrete.  It is as permanent as the slab is, which means there will be little to no upkeep since these lines are actually cut into the concrete. Maintaining scored concrete typically involves a simple sweeping or rinsing. However, if the scored concrete is sealed, it may require periodic resealing. Overall, the biggest advantage of scored concrete is that it creates a completely custom look for your project.
